From 10th to 12th June, our InvestRM partners from University of Zenica – Institute Kemal Kapetanović and Mining institute Tuzla, together with selected student and supervisor from University of Zenica, performed field prospecting and sampling on the deposits “Hrmza” and “Meovršje” located in the municipality of Kreševo. At the “Hrmza” deposit, they performed sampling of two mine holdings left over from the period of former underground exploitation of realgar-auorpigment ore.

At the deposit “Hrmza 2”, located next to the eponymous stream Hrmza, our team was able to macroscopically detect the appearance of purple fluorspar crystals in the remains of realgare-auripigment ore on several samples. They took 6 samples at this location.

At the “Meovršje” deposit, the team was able to find fluorspar crystals in association with barite mineralization in only one locality, and in a very small amount.

At other locations in Meovršje, it was not possible to detect fluorspar crystals in barites. Here barite appeared with malachite and azurite.

In the upcoming period, the team plans to indicate on the maps the contours of the deposit and the location of sampling, additionally a detailed macroscopic description of the samples will be performed, sampling tables with accompanying photographs will be arranged and it will be determined which analyzes will be performed on which samples.
