INVESTRM TEAM IN FLOURSPAR DEPOSIT ŽUNE

On 10th June 2020, part of our InvestRM project team visited deposit Žune in Bosnia and Herzegovina, identified as prospective fluorspar deposit by the consortium. Project team members from University of Zagreb – Faculty of Mining, Geology and Petroleum Engineering, Institute Kemal Kapetanović – University of Zenica and Mining institute Prijedor, together with students and supervisors from University of Banja Luka and University of Zenica, spent one day on the field and managed to collect 150 kg of samples for further analysis. Preliminary filed observations are pointing to barite-fluorite ± dolomite, quartz paragenesis, with minor sulfides. Mineralization zone is cca 100 m long and 30 meters wide, located within dolostone. Central past is mainly built of fluorite. This analysis will be basis for the students’ work on their Master thesis, but also for making the final decision on continuation with the exploitation stage.
