GEOPHYSICAL EXPLORATION IN FLOURSPAR DEPOSIT ŽUNE

On the 8th and 9th October 2020 geophysical field measurements have been performed in Žune prospective fluorspar deposit in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Žune location was selected for the geophysical survey program following previous surface sampling and its analysis. Geophysical team from Faculty of Mining, Geology and Petroleum Engineering, University of Zagreb together with InvestRM team from Mining institute Prijedor carried out electrical resistivity and seismic refraction measurements. Electrical resistivity tomography (ERT) method covered 800 m long profile and seismic refraction was measured along five short lines, parallel and perpendicular to ERT line. The survey was aimed at revealing anomalies associated with barite-fluorite deposit. Preliminary results indicate anomaly extending to a depth of cca 10 m that is about 80 m long.
